Thank you poetry

There are many things poetry has done for me, but it has done one specific thing to me. Poetry has challenged me to become naked, bare in my truth not ready to explore many topics because it made me uncomfortable. Poetry is undressing down to nothing but feelings. It will challenge you to get naked and explore the real you. Poetry is the tough conversation you need to have with yourself and get to the issue's root. Yes, it's therapeutic, but it's also a challenge. Vulnerability is the main character of this movie, and I just got to the opening credits.

Poetry, I want to thank you for the way you've shown me the real me. For showing me how to get in tune with my feelings, Sometimes I have a habit of shutting down and be silent, thinking I'm invisible. However, you made me speak up. You have made me uncomfortable with my inner self. When I look back at how far I have come and where im heading, I think at all the times on my path, and you were there to help me through. So again, thank you poetry, I appreciate you.
